Naima Haviland, author

I like dead people. Fictional dead people, that is, and the twisted people who make them dead (or undead). I write novels and short stories where a person is confronted with evil, either supernatural or human, external or inside himself.

I find inspiration in the Southeast United States, including my home in the Florida Panhandle, an ocean paradise of eccentrics, explorers, pirates, ghosts, and UFOs.

I wrote the Amazon Kindle bestselling Demontorium stories, which blur the line between psychology and the supernatural. My novel Bloodroom sets an edgy vampire romance in modern Charleston, South Carolina. The Bad Death, an antebellum novel steeped in the dark legends of South Carolina folklore, is the second in the Bloodroom series. The series’ third novel, Coffin Land, is coming up.
